Test automation is the practice of running tests automatically, managing test data and utilizing results to improve software quality. This can be either traditional test automation such as framework-based automation or the emerging trend such as codeless test automation or low-code / no-code test automation.
While both of the above examples are tools to automate testing, the main difference between the two is that while the former requires testers to take a lot of steps, the latter simplifies test automation by helping with locator selection, self-healing for suite maintenance or giving a video recording of test case failures.
Without a doubt, CRT is the best tool for automation testing and I have had first-hand experience to vouch for it.
The story goes like this: We had a version of our Front-end UI product released live last September. There had been a lot of UAT changes and customer feedback on the product. These changes paved the way for a lot of development changes, merge conflicts and ultimately required a lot of testing and quality checks.
There was a release twice a week, and again, many changes were introduced to the previously-tested build. I was extremely worried about how to manage the testing single-handedly and make the product live each time with all features tested, passed and without any regression.
We needed a strong test automation solution that could do our testing for each release. Having previously used Copado Robotic Testing (CRT), I scripted all my Regression Test cases in CRT. It took me about two days (i.e., 16 hours at work) to script these test cases.
This saved me 128+ hours of manual testing in a month. All I needed to do now was to click a run button and relax. How cool is that?
The CRT support team and community is incredible. They are always there for QA testers like me whenever we need our questions answered. I am happy about my decision to choose CRT and I would certainly recommend all testers to use CRT. It’s undoubtedly the best tool for automation testing that offers unlimited potential and, if used right, can do wonders.
I have noticed that many QA testers misunderstand CRT’s capabilities or the lack thereof. They bucket CRT in the same category of tools to automate testing that promise too much but offer too little. But once they use the platform, they quickly realize the immense benefits of Copado Robotic Testing over other platforms.
Here are some of the common myths and facts about Copado Robotic Testing:
CRT requires coding prerequisites
CRT is accessible to product, BAs, automation engineers, clients with no coding background, and everyone else. In short, CRT is for all.
CRT is new and therefore immature
CRT is a brainchild of the product experts at Qentinel, founded in 2002. Leaders and members of the product and services teams, with 20+ years of solving enterprise automation, helped create the Robot Framework while working for Nokia.
How well is this new product supported?
With CRT, you benefit from the same community, certification paths, and first-in-class support you have come to expect from Copado. This includes an international team offering support across the globe.
Career growth in CRT?
CRT is rapidly growing and employers are already seeking CRT.
The benefits of Copado Robotic Testing far outweigh the benefits that even the latest automation testing tools don't offer. CRT Pro features include, but are not limited to, the following features.
Copado's cloud-based test automation solution handles all the testing scenarios you need for end-to-end coverage — from mobile UI to UAT. It’s a one-stop solution for all our testing needs. I’ve seen tremendous success from switching to Copado Robotic Testing and I’m sure you will feel the same way when you start using CRT for running your automation testing!
