When we look across the Salesforce ecosystem—and the broader DevOps space—one thing is clear: the teams who drive the most value are hyper-focused on delivering value. From prioritizing work to improving the way they work, businesses winning with DevOps weave value into everything they do.
And with Winter ‘21 we’re moving even further into Value Stream Management with features that help you get to value sooner, prioritize value, and connect the end-to-end Salesforce value stream. Take a look at what’s new:
Leveraging Salesforce Flows and point-and-click functionality, Pipeline Builders bring low-code flexibility to Copado Continuous Delivery. Connecting your entire DevOps toolset, setting up deployment steps and creating deployment triggers can now all be configured with absolutely no code.
Value stream management is all about reducing waste in your software delivery processes. Prior to Pipeline Builders, customers were dependent on Copado to build new integrations. Now, they can configure integrations in just a few clicks, enabling them to tie their entire delivery process—from planning to monitoring—together into one workstream. Through the low-code model, teams can drive value faster and connect their entire value stream to streamline deployments, regression testing, agile management and more.
Optimizing your DevOps value stream isn’t just about eliminating waste—it’s about getting more valuable features into the hands of business users and enabling better customer experiences. And to achieve this, you need to have value in mind with every sprint.
Copado Planning now includes Features and Applications, allowing project managers and product owners to group user stories. What’s more, team’s can assign estimated financial impact and/or ROI goals to Features, helping teams prioritize User Stories based on how much value they’ll deliver to the business. Teams can also:
Copado Value Stream Maps can visualize your entire Salesforce delivery value stream, helping to identify potential bottlenecks or risks. With Interactive Insights, they can now drill into those bottlenecks to quickly identify which User Stories are causing the bottleneck. And with Chatter available on the Value Stream Map and the User Stories, they can collaborate both at a process level and on specific records to unblock bottlenecks.
Our customers have told us that managing External IDs is Painful. We heard you. So for Winter ‘21 we are releasing automated record matching. Now, Copado Data Deploy will dynamically generate external IDs for every record to ensure IDs match across orgs, keeping sandboxes in-sync and enabling downstream data for better regression testing.

Customers that require FedRamp certification will now be able to enjoy the power of Copado in their DevOps solutions. With the all-new Copado GovCloud, our backend will be FedRamp certified for government agencies. Because we built GovCloud on the Public Google Cloud Platform, we are also offering the improved performance of the Google Cloud to all of our customers with CopadoGCP. We will still support our 100% Native Salesforce solution for those that need it, but with the release of these two new platform offerings, Copado is giving our customers choice.
Dubbing our Winter ‘21 release as “the value release” is a nod to the future of DevOps and of Copado. Gartner recently released research about the successes and challenges of DevOps, and ultimately, they found that companies are struggling to bring digital transformation vision to fruition because they can’t scale DevOps. But those who are succeeding are disproportionately adopting value stream management.
We see this trend too, and you’ll continue to see value-driving updates to Copado. From more AI capabilities to features that span and connect each stage of the delivery process—plan, build, test, deliver, and monitor—the Copado Value Stream Management Platform will help you drive and measure value.
