Under the hood, Jaguar Land Rover operates a Salesforce Centre of Excellence to harmonise end-to-end customer journeys through Commerce Cloud. Salesforce enables JLR to centralise a constellation of clouds and capabilities in one place — unlocking 360 views of customer data and fuelling a luxury online car buying experience.
But without a native DevOps solution, Jaguar Land Rover’s Salesforce releases were consumed by blockades and blind spots. Merge conflicts and a 40-60% fail rate turned production deployments into 8-hour ordeals. An ineffective error resolution process led to missed deadlines, while development silos made it impossible to predict release timing.

“Copado streamlined our process and gave us the ability to unify all our testing tools, quality gates and development tools,” says Sonkar. “Now, we can give the business confidence that we’ll be able to release a feature on a specific timeframe.”
To bridge the learning gap and get team members more comfortable with the new process, JLR turned to the Copado Community. The company created a training plan on the Copado Academy to help admins and developers earn DevOps certifications and advance their career goals. The team watched step-by-step product demos and tried out DevOps functionalities on Copado Playgrounds to quickly bridge the gap and ensure success.

“With the help of the Copado toolset, we’re now releasing into production a lot quicker,” says Frisby. “Previously, it was taking eight hours per release. With Copado, we’ve done 15,000 releases across four orgs — and the average time is now 32 minutes.”
Each week, Copado enables JLR to successfully deploy 400 releases (100 per org) across the estate. By identifying issues earlier in the release process, Copado has helped JLR trim their 40-60% fail rate to zero and promote 600 high-scale user stories to production.
“We can go home on time and be with friends and family,” says Sonkar. “We don’t have to sit on a call for hours to complete the process. I have confidence that we'll be able to finish everything on time.”
What’s the next milestone on Jaguar Land Rover’s path to digital transformation? Rolling out Copado as the company’s single enterprise-wide solution across all Salesforce applications — including Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud. The automotive manufacturer is also looking to leverage AI-powered automation (CopadoGPT and Robotic Testing) within Copado to scale Salesforce success.
