AG2R LA MONDIALE insures 15 million people and 500,000 companies across Metropolitan France — from healthcare plans to asset protection to retirement preparation.
Founded in 1905, AG2R LA MONDIALE’s corporate history is filled with company mergers and acquisitions. As a result, this Paris-based insurance firm is powered by a diverse patchwork of information systems under the hood.
Initially, AG2R LA MONDIALE used an open-source DevOps framework, Jenkins, to manage Salesforce releases. But after struggling with Jenkins’ high learning curve and intensive maintenance requirements, the insurance firm implemented Copado CI/CD to manage and scale Salesforce Industries.

AG2R LA MONDIALE’s legacy CRM infrastructure was pieced together from many sources that were extremely difficult to connect and maintain. Like Frankenstein’s monster, this mixture of moving parts created more problems than it solved — resulting in a redundant and fragile ecosystem.
Without a single source of truth, the insurance firm struggled to deal with data gaps and deliver a seamless customer experience. In response, AG2R LA MONDIALE launched a new program called XRM to enhance the quality of their customer experiences.
In 2018, AG2R implemented Salesforce to solve their Frankenstein Syndrome and aggregate all their information systems, tools and processes under one roof. Salesforce serves every type of customer — both B2B and B2C.
To manage their implementation and tackle releases, AG2R LA MONDIALE relied on a monolithic open-source DevOps solution: Jenkins. Here’s where the French insurance firm ran into trouble — this framework wasn’t built specifically for Salesforce and didn’t fit AG2R LA MONDIALE’s digital needs.
With Copado CI/CD under their belts, AG2R LA MONDIALE no longer has to go into JIRA to understand what the code in Git is trying to do. Copado’s JIRA integration means it’s easy to check the status of each user story.
AG2R has also moved on from the waterfall mindset. They are fully committed to an agile approach and are hyper-focused on continuous integration. The dev team was able to set up Copado in three months thanks to the smooth and easy low-code functionality and our Salesforce-native DevOps Platform helps the firm save around €250,000 EUR every year on development projects.
As AG2R LA MONDIALE’s DevOps practice matures, the team plans to add several non-regression tests inside the pipeline to enhance quality and improve integration with other tools. The insurance firm also plans to use Copado to automatically process merge requests and spin up fully operational sandboxes filled with metadata.
AG2R LA MONDIALE is exploring Copado Essentials in order to bring the power of low-code DevOps automation to two additional Salesforce orgs.
